Hey Derek, just popping by to tell you that your art in Gates of Hell was fantastic! I especially loved your take on the Deacon.

PS- What does Father Thomas sound like to you? Who would you cast to voice him?
Hey Oliver,
THANK YOU for that compliment.  I'm glad you dug the book(s)!
When I envisioned how the character would look, I always thought a "Robocop 2" era Tom Noonan would have been perfect for the role.
Noonan had a way of delivering calm and warm demeanor with an underlying psychosis like no other.  His voice would have been great too, although because the character's mouth was sewn shut, and all of his dialogue was mostly inner monologue, I would add a pitch shifter to add more of a deeper, more intimate bass undercurrent  (kind of like Tony Todd in Candyman).

Very wordy answer to a simple question, but I love talking about this stuff.

Good luck with your art and all that you do creatively!
Derek
Thanks for replying to me!

I just have one more question.

Will you be involved with any more Eibon Press projects? Particularly, the Fulci stuff?
Hey Oliver.

It's always my pleasure to talk about fun stuff like this.  I appreciate you caring enough about the material to reach out.
To answer your question, Shawn and I already talked about working together again down the road, but there are no immediate plans for me to return.
If I was ever asked, I would certainly consider it, although, it would most likely not be a Fulci project as I do believe they have other artists already lined up.
We shall see what the future holds, but in the meantime, I've been running my own comic book company and projects....so either way, you'll be seeing more from me.

Best,
Derek
Thank you for putting me on your watch list!
